The Financial Times(FT) reported on 2nd June that the world’s largest social media Facebook is discussing with the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) about issuing its own crypto-currency. Facebook will issue staple coin, even in crypto-currencies, which is issued in connection with the value of legal currency such as the dollar and can reduce the risk of severe price fluctuations, .

Facebook plans to issue its own crypto-currency in the name of “Global Coin” early next year, and to establish a digital settlement system in about 12 countries in the first quarter of next year. Users will be able to send money and buy things from Facebook, Instagram and Wattsapp.
